On the coast of Vasto, between the protected area of Punta d'Erce anda Vasto Marina, the promontory of San Nicola Punta della Meta forms a natural terrace on the Adriatic Sea immersed in the green maquis.

This is one of the most enchanting tracts of Abruzzi coast, little far from the border with Molise, and the cliff houses a very special seaside resort whic is run Giuseppe Zaccaria and his family; the place offers many different toutist facilities (beach umbrellas, refreshment kiosks, bungalows, private car park, boat and pedalos rent, diving center) and is very exclusive, but its main characteristic is the protection of the sourronding evironment.
Giuseppe Zaccaria exploited this extraordinary sea amphiteatre without any polluting effect on the natural balance of land and sea, by preserving the originary function of this little gulf, which was a Roman port in the past, with the church of San Nicola (the patron of fishermen and seamen) on the hill.
